More News

After a long discussion with many local real estate agents and collecting data from different property markets in Greece, we made the following observation considering also the high prices of the oil:

If you want to buy a house in Greece then YOU NEED TO SEARCH! YOU NEED TO SEE THE PLACES!

You need to do that even if you want to work as a real estate agent. Till now looks that the individual constructors or individual sellers mainly of traditional houses, they will be able to keep the house prices around the same levels. But this is not the case for big construction companies that of course need to get the maximum payoff from their investments. But on the other hand, big construction companies offer different property products with different services than the individual sell. At the most of times when you buy a traditional house you will need to re-innovate. Therefore the price that you paid does not match exactly with the work that you will need later for developing your house.

Therefore what sort of house to buy and especially in Greece depends mostly on your needs. And as a final conclusion, fell free to ask and especially your real estate agent. The agent should your guide-your friend that does his best for you. Do not forget that.

We will post late this month too.

We are following the news!

Sorry for not posting some time now....But we read with great interest the news about the oil prices and how this affects the house prices in Greece. We have already noted many price changes in the local properties market due to the new prices in the building products. Note that the workers pay rate remains the same, therefore the new prices are mostly because of these new inflated rates in the basic building products. We follow the news and we will update you asap.

An Update

To be honest I have many things to write about. For instance, I will need to say that Greece, despite the frequent earthquakes that happen there, is a safe country. The civil engineering rules for building a house are very strong and the Greek engineers are very well educated and experienced for constructing safe buildings. An example is the recent earthquake in Greece -Peloponnisos (Peloponnese), where despite its size, the damages where limited to mostly in old agricultural style traditional houses. But I will definitely post soon, about more info about the greek constructions.
